Our Prize Giving Ceremony was held on the final day of term. Parents, Guests, Students and staff came together to celebrate student achievements over the academic year.
Pre-Ceremony Vibes:
A selection of piano music was played by the talented Rickson (Y7) to set the mood!
Event Highlights:
After a warm welcome, the ceremony opened with celebratory Musical Performances by our amazing School Choir. This was followed by the School Prefect’s Report, detailing the events of the year and the prefects contibutions, confidently presented by Alesha. Then there was the Principal’s Report by Mr. JL Shooter MA (Cambridge), MBA, FRSA which was funny and inspiring, with his topic being "confidence". He told us that his speech would last only one or two hours, but we were very pleased that it was much less than that!
And then, the moment we had all been waiting for… the Presentation of Achievement Awards and the Presentation of School Prizes. With over 100 presentations made during the ceremony, it was wonderful to hear about each students individual success in the Achievement Awards, and to find out which books our School Prize winners had chosen to be presented alongside their Certificate as the reward for their great achievement. Many photos were taken of happy faces!
We gave a huge shout-out to our amazing students who were nominated for School Academic and Achievement Prizes this year:

Finally, the House Cups 2023/24 were presented:
Sports Day Winner: West House
and the cup that is competed for over the whole academic year- the House Cup. The winner was announced as South House. Congratulations!
Finally, there were presentations to staff to thank them for their hard work over the year, and there was a fond tribute to Mr G who is returning to his native Australia and will be missed by us all.
After the ceremony, parents celebrated with the students and staff the magnificent achievements displayed today by our hard working students.
Thank you for being part of this special day. We look forward to seeing you again on Monday, 26th August 2024, for the start of another fantastic academic year!
